More than just a B&B...

Social areas are plentiful, from the Library and Reception Room where our guests can enjoy a cup of tea or refreshing beverage upon arrival to enjoying a book from the shelves, this area is intimate and cosy.  The grand wall of windows towering over the entrance hall is softened by wooden sculptured furniture and rustic style modern lighting which hang in the double volume room.  The plush living area tucked away along side the main entrance is filled with botanicals and the surrounding walls have been beautifully hand painted by a local artist, taking the Interior Decorator's inspiration of bringing the outside tropical and indigenous plant life indoors.  This room is cosy, peaceful and invigorating all in one.  The shades of green from the wall mural have been extended into the bedrooms and used on the feature walls allowing the décor and tones to flow throughout to create spaces that feel as tranquil as the surrounding area in which the B&B is situated. Bedrooms are all individually decorated in both muted and bold tones using striking scatters, each with unique artwork and fitted with custom crafted furniture pieces.

The Kitchen, Dining and Bar Areas

This open plan area feels like home away from home.  With a wonderfully rustic outdoor feel from the whitewashed exposed brick wall to the oak dining tables and spindle backed chairs, one cannot escape the French feel in an African bush surrounds. The modern kitchen is separated from the dining room with fitted custom made shelving filled with locally made crockery to enable guests to "help themselves". With columns of large glass sliding doors leading from the dining and bar, in good weather the tables spill out onto the pool terrace allowing guests to dine alfresco.

The bar area leads out onto decking and pool area with sensational views of the Gonubie River. Teak seating draped with blankets are perfectly placed for bird watching or stargazing, complete with a fire pit for cooler evenings creating a truly African night time experience. The outdoor seating areas have been sensitively placed to allow ample space to relax and unwind.

The Cellar

For something even more unique, guests can enjoy our very own wine cellar.  Intimate and small, this cosy space is the perfect place for a special occasion, equipped with tables and chairs for drinking and dining alike.  Please enquire for information on private events.
